Alexander Donnelly (Producer) is the founder of Fortress Productions, which has been involved with the Broadway productions of Stereophonic (Tony award, co-producer), Parade (Tony, co-producer in association with Chutzpah Productions), Suffs, and Alex Edelman’s Just For Us (both with Chutzpah). From 2017 to 2020, Alex was the Executive Director and Co-Founder of Corkscrew Theater Festival, which supported hundreds of early-career artists through its mission to reduce the steep financial and material barriers associated with developing and producing new plays in New York City.

He received his BA from Columbia University in Financial Economics and Political Science and worked on Wall Street before leaving to be the Director of Corporate Development at Production Resource Group (PRG) in 2018. There he advised on a number of strategic M&A transactions that expanded PRG’s international presence in TV and Film, most notably with the acquisition of VER. He transitioned to the Broadway division in 2020 and now manages the Lighting, Audio, and Video teams in Secaucus, NJ.

Alex is an avid runner and has completed seven marathons with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). His other non-profit commitments include Lincoln Center’s Young Patrons, Lincoln Center Theater's Angels, and New York Theatre Workshop’s 4th Street Bar Association. When he is not seeing theatre or running around the big loop in Central Park, he is singing show-tunes at The Friki Tiki, a bar he co-owns in Branford, CT.

Awards: Lion's Pride Honoree, Columbia University - awarded to Founding Artistic Director Tom Kapusta and Alex Donnelly for their work on the Corkscrew Theater Festival.
